Embracing Tomorrow: The Dubai Museum of Future

The city of Dubai is filled with a number of extraordinary tourist’s attractions and attractive landmarks that are widely recognized globally. The museum of the future is one of the most awaited projects that is a torus-shaped development. The museum has the extraordinary feature of transporting visitors to 2035 with the knowledge of modern science and technology. It is situated on Sheikh Zayed Road, close to the Emirates Towers and DIFC. The museum is not just a skyline landmark, but rather depicts the representation of Dubai’s future in establishing itself as one of the most advanced and emerging cities of the United Arab Emirates.

The museum's outlook on the future is positive, promising a more compassionate society and a more robust global economy by showcasing how cutting-edge technologies can improve our lives, health, wellbeing, and spirituality. Modern technology features the use of augmented reality and artificial intelligence to space flights. The interesting perspective is that it identifies how the change in technology can affect people’s social and family lives. The museum simultaneously demonstrates how technology can improve our bodies and minds. The museum also put a focus on the change in economic and social interaction with the advancement in modern technology.

The three underlying themes that the museum focuses on are how robots and artificial intelligence improve human mental and physical capabilities, the relation between humans and robots and lastly on how the development of artificial intelligence technologies can affect the management and decision-making processes. It mainly covers technology in industries across health, climate change & food security.

Architecture of the Museum

The Museum of the Future Dubai, designed by Killa Designs, has an open center and is formed like a gleaming silver oval. The green hill, the building, and the void are the three parts of the structure, which is situated adjacent to Emirates Towers. The shining, modern oval depicts humanity, while the verdant hill represents the planet earth. The void of the building represents innovation.

Art and poetry are evident aspects of the Museum of the Future’s building design. Visitors can find Arabic calligraphy engraved on the exterior, including insightful future-related quotations from the Prime Minister of the UAE, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The exhibition space has two linking bridges, one connecting to the Emirates Tower Metro Station and the other to Jumeirah Emirates Tower.

Above a podium with three stories and a F&B deck, the museum has seven floors. The Events Hall is located on Level 7, while Level 6 is designated as private, indicating that it is only available to VIPs. During a two-hour guided tour, visitors are plunged in a journey of imagination on the final five floors, where the future actually comes to life. Their virtual avatar guide, and a human tour guide are with them on that excursion.
