About Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT)
The Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) is a Dubai development that includes 79 skyscrapers built around the shores of four artificial lakes: Lake Almas West, Lake Almas East, Lake Elucio, and Lake Allure, as well as the JLT Embankment, which consists of eight towers facing the Jumeirah Islands. The lakes, which are around 3 metres deep, will be filled by the end of 2011, and the entire project will be manicured to mix in with its surroundings. The lakes, streams, and landscaping will span a total area of 730,000 square meters. Except for the centrepiece, which stands 66 storeys tall, the buildings range in height from 35 to 45 floors. The Almas structure, the highest structure and the focal point of the whole complex, will be located on its own island between Lake Almas West and Lake Almas East and will serve as exclusive office space for commodities traders and corporations. All of the towers will be clustered in groups of three and well spaced such that each tower has a view of the surrounding landscape and sea.
Jumeirah Lakes Towers, which is built around a serene lake and verdant parks, is popular with everyone because of its wonderful community atmosphere. JLT (Jumeirah Lakes Towers) is a quiet and modest residential neighbourhood centred around four lakes. One of them was eventually regained, resulting in a 55,000-square-foot grass park. The large, contemporary skyscrapers, both residents and tourists enjoy a welcoming atmosphere. The round path, lined with promenades and footbridges along the waterfront and sprinkled with lakeside cafés, hair salons, and stores, is popular with young families, cyclists, joggers, and dog owners from dawn until late at night. Many hotels have sprouted up to take advantage of this extremely livable location, as have many vacation houses and extended stay possibilities.
There are well-kept green spots and four manmade lakes, giving it a very attractive aspect. Residents of the Jumeirah Lake Towers can spend their nights among bikers, joggers, and dog walkers, or they can visit one of the lakefront cafés. During the colder months of the year, market days are conducted on weekends, with vendors offering clothing and souvenirs. Residents can enjoy live music and finger snacks at the adjacent cafés. These cafés have been noted to offer a carnival-like atmosphere. During the summer months, movie evenings are organised and publicised on notice boards in each building's lobby. Other facts of general relevance to locals include collection services for charity drives and properties for sale or rent.
