Dubai South is based on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, it is a multi-phase development that was dubbed The Centre of Tomorrow when it was first launched in 2006 and was renamed Dubai South in 2015. The community includes residential districts, Al Maktoum International Airport, and a Business Park. The eight districts of Dubai South integrate “residential, commercial, logistics, aviation, hospitality, and leisure zones” in one multifaceted development under the government's flagship project. Dubai South spans over 145 sq. km, of which 7 sq. km. is dedicated to an aerospace hub and 18 sq. km. to a logistics hub.
